Pallet dining table is a great addition to your home. Whether it’s new or old wood, you need special care. Pallet is a soft material that can be easily damaged. Water, weather, a fall, or a runaway tricycle can cause permanent damage to the dining table. Repairing the damaged wood and strengthening a weakened dining table will make it safer and more attractive for daily use.
Determine what needs to be repaired at the pallet dining table. Cosmetic needs are the most visible, but these should be addressed after the table is safe for use. Turn the table on its upper side to determine what needs to be done for the legs. Each leg is attached to a corner of a square or rectangular table or to a central bracket under the top of a round table.

Remove each leg from the pallet dining table. Check that the leg supports are attached to missing or broken pieces. A narrow 1-inch by 1-inch joint can be cut to the same size as a broken bracket. Glue the piece with wood glue and the screw next to the old additional support. Use 2-inch screws that will come through the new gasket and into the old wood. For cosmetic purposes, the legs can be varnished. Peel the old finish with a paint remover or the finish made specifically for this purpose.
